Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach has a rich history in the railroad industry. Henry Flagler built up the city in the early 1900s by positioning a railroad station and building a massive hotel that quickly became a summertime hot spot. The hotel burned down in 1919, and it wasn't until 1926 that Atlantic Beach became an official town. The Mayport Naval Station brought more people in, and when the Mathews Bridge was built, the town was much easier to access.

Since its official inception as a city, Atlantic Beach has slowly grown into one of Northeast Florida’s premier luxury destinations. Those seeking a lavish beachfront lifestyle will find paradise and more along the golden shores of Atlantic Beach.

Countless homes for sale line the sands here, offering easy access for a relaxing day at the beach. Single-family homes with three to five bedrooms are available in bulk, while upscale condos dot the shoreline, offering staggering views of the Atlantic Ocean.

When you’re ready to get out of the house and explore a new spot, head to the nearby public beach and city park, Hanna Park. This beautiful park is a haven for surfers, beachgoers, and campers alike.

After you’ve gotten your fill of the sun and surf, Atlantic Beach has plenty of shopping and nightlife to keep you entertained. Walk down any given street and you’re sure to find a unique boutique or two, as well as plenty of dog-friendly cafes. When night falls, popular hot spots like Poe’s Tavern, Flying Iguana, and Ragtime Tavern offer an exciting atmosphere, great food, and often live music.
